Yesterday, I bought and read a copy of Eric Berne's "Games People Play". I haven't yet formed a strong opinion on it - I think I need to give it a few more reads first. Whilst looking for background info, I came upon the following link.

http://www.emotional-literacy.com/hea1.htm

(you need to follow the link on the bottom of the first page to read the full text - it's pretty long)

I would be interested to know others' thoughts on this. I hope I'm not treading on any toes here through my attempts at understanding.

Love

Minnie

I wasn't putting it forward as something new, just an approach that I don't often see discussed on these boards.

Hi Minnie

Someone bought me this for christmas just gone. I am unlikely to read it. I will be interested in yours or anyone elses view if it's read. I don't like the look of it, but I know this is my predjudice which I can't really back up.

Hello Minnie...

I think one should keep searching until they find recovery.
I do not judge how they arrive there.

However

Let me share with you what finally got me sober.

In his book ‘Under The Influence’ Dr. James Milam states

the liver does not process alcohol correctly in alcoholics.

I took that info...coupled with a commitment to AA...

And have stayed sober since 89. Eureka!!

Could other ways have worked for me? I have no idea.
What path will be yours? I have no idea.

Hope you find a way
