Friendly Reminder!
This is the Alcoholism forum. Many newcomers start out here looking for hopeful suggestions, answers, tips, solutions. Please remember they are trying to find what would work for them.
If a member specifically suggests they have no interest in AA or have tried it and do not wish to further dialogue on it, please respect their wishes. We have an AA forum where all are welcome to participate in and discuss what worked for you and offer experiance, strength and hope and discuss topics related to AA. This is not to suggest AA is taboo in this forum, just be considerate of initial posts.
Here however, please remeber how uncertain, afraid, exhasting, it can be learning about the disease/addiction of alcoholism. Finding the answers to quitting is highly individual and personal. We all get here when we're supposed to and we all find what works for us on our own time and our own way.
Thanks for understanding!

For everyone . . . but espeically to Chy,
There is nothing I can say to compenate the many who regularly participate here. Because of the many regulars, and the dedicated volunteers like Chy, SR is by far the best discussion fourm on the Intenet for those of us with recurring addiction problems.
Thanks to all for your volunteer hours.

If you are driven within yourself that is the only factor necessary to maintain sobriety. It is definately a good thing to ensure some type of support to keep things on the straight & narrow path but you must start within. Glad to see you here at SR!! It is a good form of support & has worked well for me!!!! Hope it keeps you on course.
