Appologies to this forum/moderators
Sorry for the thread I started yesterday (?)...was it yesterday?
Anyway, yeah, I was drunk...in case you couldn't guess *rolls eyes*
I wont do it again.
Very hard to get/stay sober when people who know you've got a drinking problem think it's 'funny' to give you whiskey for your birthday :/

...it was just free booze...nice $30 free booze...a day I didn't have to work.
But I guess part of me wanted to get blind drunk on it to make the person who gave it me feel guilty.
yay for being utterly pathetic :/
Richey,
Many of us who used to drink have made fools of ourselves. The good news is that we can always start over.
The more we take responsibility for our actions the quicker we can recover. We can not afford to blame others for what we do if we want to be well. Self pity has to go too. It is good to be able to admit we are wrong and go on about life.

This disease is clinically described as a "chronic, progressive, fatal disease".
The "fatal" part reminds me we cannot "always" start over.

Your not pathetic because your here, a part of you is getting ready to take the ultimate plunge while the other part of you is afraid to quit, for whatever excuse it's dug up, there is nothing to fear, easy no, nothing in life worth having is ever easy to obtain. Let that part of you that's ready take over for a few 24 hours, just see how it feels to be sober for one whole day, there's always tomorrow.
