Cathy31 has 30 days!!!!!!!!
Hi Everyone!
I can't tell you how happy I am to be able to write this!
Today I have 30 days sober! Imagine that! Not that long ago I was feeling very sorry for myself, recovering from a terrible hangover after a night where I had attempted to drink 'sensibly' I lost my glasses, a lot of self respect, got bruised all over, you name it! I felt AWFUL.
Now I have 30 days sober! What a difference! Some days are tough, but to coin a phrase - my WORST day sober is still way better than my BEST day drunk!
Thank you God, thank you AA, thank you to my wonderful friends at AA and SR and thank you to the SR website.
What a wonderful support it, and you all, have been for me!
I almost have to pinch myself to believe this is real!
I feel so happy, and so blessed!!
Thank you!!!!
Love,
CAthy31

Thanks Chy and Roxanne!
I know, Roxanne at 60 days...wow! I hope I'm not making too much of a thing about it, but I just feel so proud of myself, I just can't tell you!! Glad I can share this with all of you - it this website, and you guys, who helped me identify that I was an alcoholic in the first place.
Chy - you are an amazing inspiration! I have often read your Recovery Story when I felt it was impossible for me.
Thanks!!! One day at a time!

Hi Ken
I'm so pleased to hear from you today! I remember when you posted your 30 days and I remember so well thinking Jeez, how will I ever get there!
It would be amazing to share wouldn't it! You work on that long overdue trip to Ireland and we'll be able to do just that! You'd be the toast of the town! And Jaysee - you might want to pop over too!!

And now it is 12 years through God's Grace.
After this '30 days' I bounced in and out for 12-18 months.
I kept coming back.
It really does work.
Then: miserable, depressed, job spiralling outta control, alone, hating life, self, others
Now: happy, joyous, free, so much love in my life (wife, mother) I could bring joy to my parents and my Dad's last 8 years on earth, top job (sometimes spirals due to my alcoholic nature! One day at a time!) Love myself and generally feel goodwill to most! PM me any time!
