Things we forgot about.
 

Been sober for a long time. It's almost as if it didn't happen to me but every once in awhile I get reminded. I woke up with bags under my eyes today. I immediately traced it back to me forgetting my blood pressure medicine a few days and eating total junk yesterday. Oh my poor body. I took my medicine and dragged the healthy food to the front of the fridge.

Then I remembered. I used to have bigger bags than this 15 years ago and I would ice them and wait for them to go down throughout the day. My eyes look better at 55 than they did at 40.

My daughter came over a few years back and wanted some of that heartburn medicine I used to take. It was 7years expired. I ate that stuff like candy when I was drinking. I completely stopped having acid reflux after I no longer drank. I forget that one too until she asked.

Anyone else?

Yes! So funny to think back on, all the difficulties I would put myself through to drink, and then drink because I was having all these difficulties.

Congrats on the 15 years you are a literal inspiration!

Yes that reflux was just awful. I ate rennies like smarties. After a bit of weight loss on top of sobriety its just one of the many things that have totally disappeared 🙂.
