Woke up grateful
I poured way to much poison down my throat until I finally quit. 9 and half plus years sober. I'm grateful for that. I would most certainly be dead. Thank you God!!

I too am grateful every morning when I open my eyes. 
I'm grateful I feel good, not horrible. I'm grateful that I didn't do or say anything last night that I regret. I'm grateful that I'm still alive and reasonably healthy for my age. . I'm grateful that despite my medical conditions, I know I'd be a thousand times worse off if I were still drinking.
So yes, I wake up grateful every morning too.
