My MIL made a wonderful vinegar based potato salad, ten times better than mine. It was her ‘always requested, bring to” addition to every cookout and every Easter dinner. Her daughter has fallen heir to the responsibility and my husband has mastered the art, as well. They guard the recipe with their lives; it is quite amazing and amusing. Our son and daughter will eventually fall heir to the recipe.

I use a big bucket of water and vinegar to soak my shower curtains before washing.
Been eating lot's of cucumbers and cucumbers salad. I planted English long cucumbers this year and they did very well.
Rain coming tonight and staying thru the weekend according to the forecast.

I remember my father making tons of cucumber and onion salads when I was a kid. We would have a big load of cucumbers ready all at once, and it was a good way to use them up. I can't even imagine all of those onions and vinegar wreaking havoc on my fragile digestive tract these days!

sad poems about life and painMy loaded sober canoe. The front bag had my clothes, sleeping bag, tent, sleeping pad, food, chair and tent. Back bag had camera, wallet, keys and snack foods for day tripping.
