I made it to the quarter century mark, 25 years.
October 23, 1997 was my last drink, October 24, 1997 was my first sober day.

October 24 1997 was a Friday.
You took your first sober step just before a weekend.
It was a great decision!

Thanks, Purpirks3647 - Yes, in a sense I do, but not entirely like having a party, or something like that. But a celebration, nonetheless!
In 25 years I have learned a lot about keeping myself sober, and I can share what I know about it here. My celebration is appreciating what this place does. Without it, everything I know that is useful for others to get to sobriety wouldn't have a place to be shared.

Something else about "this place" is that it is a collective effort. Everyone is different, and it takes all those different experiences to make this place effective.
