On!

The original Monopoly used Atlantic City I think. I don't remember the guy on the horse or the cannon or the wheelbarrow. That must be for more players.

I remember there was a documentary about the game but I cannot remember the details.

On the Soberbus

Bim, my mil has probs understanding some of the American accents. Mr. Mags canít understand Glaswegian.
Ha yes the gorilla explanation was a bit long-winded but I found some French words and translated them (well the internet did ) and it seemed to make some sense.

Suze thatís a shame about all your board games. I think Iíve got an old monopoly in the attic. But not from the 60ís. That one died a death.

I remember having a round solitaire game with marbles and to win you had to have one marble left, preferably in the middle hole. I think it was called solitaire, anyway. I could be wrong. You can still buy em now I believe.

Yep, that one got thrown out as well. And Boggle, although I did lose one piece.

Happy Monday.

We have the Winnipeg version of monopoly. Only played it once. We had lots of board games when the kids were young. Sorry was a favorite. Uno was another. As a kid, I had many board games and they were played often. Billionaire, game of life, mouse trap (I believe we still have mouse trap somewhere), pop-a-matic trouble.

On the bus!

I'm 78% through with a major houseclean. I don't have room for...stuff I don't need.

On the bus.

Yes. 78%. Exactly. Feeling really good about that - better when it's done!

Trouble....as it was called in Aus Dragon.
My mother almost killed me over that game.
Do you remember the noise of that popper?
I LOVED it....I would just play by myself....be all four colours.....and I would be popping that thing until I got yelled at. So funny.

78% huh Bim? Nice. 22 is a magic number, just saying.

And ON ❤️

22. Yes. Yes it is. I didn't think of that - because my brain was not that awake, so it came from Source/God...

I was awakened by the "chirp chirp" of the alarm on my hot water heater. . . guess where I've been piling things to take to the Goodwill, TODAY?? That's right, in front of the closet where the water heater is. Of course.

(no water emergency, the alarm device just needed a new battery)

Venus, I forgot all about trouble and the popper. Lol. Thanks for the chuckle. There was a game called cooties but I don't remember much about it

I had both Trouble and it's sister game with another popper, Heachache! Trouble and Monopoly were childhood classics.

On the bus, coffee in hand.

Happy riding all!

What is the alarm on the hot water heater for? I have never heard of that (says the Aussie).
(Does it say "Warning Warning" like robot, telling you your service is not working? )

The alarm box is a little thing that warns if the water heater is leaking. It has a sensor in the pan beneath the water heater that triggers a loud continuous noise if there's water. When the battery is low it chirps intermittently, like smoke sensors do..

"Water Alarm" in Google.

I guess it has other applications, like basements or under sinks.

Oh, well that is clever.

I lived in an apt building for 25 years in Melbourne. At least three times, someone's hot water tank died, and leaked into the flat below, ruining someone's entire wardrobe full of clothes.

Yeah, I don't want to be "that" person; I'm on the third floor. It's a big problem for lots of people if I have a water leaking problem.

On. I'm three floors up too although it's called the 2nd floor here in the UK for some bizarre reason.

We used to play Risk as kids. It was fiercely competitive I recall. Mousetrap never seemed to work properly.

^ I remember learning a new word for a floor-level when a fancy shopping mall, first of its kind in my city, was built: Mezzanine
