Ascites, bloat or belly just got fat really quickly?

I know I should see a doctor, and I plan to if things look similar by the end of this week, but does anyone have any experience with ascites? I knew someone at a detox I once went to had it before passing and I know it's related to cirrhosis. I'm probably just freaking myself out and I'm only two and a half days since my last drink. Part of me thinks (hopes?) it will just go back to looking more normal after the first few days off the booze and is to do with bloat somehow? The difference has been extreme over the last 2-3 weeks and to my mind I've not consumed anywhere near enough fat for that to have caused it.

You need to be seen. You are in big trouble and need to listen to the doctors.

You know we can't give medical advice here Tetrax. You are correct that you should see a doctor, and the sooner the better.

I'm sure it's scary, Tetrax, but in this case ignorance is not bliss- go get some help sooner rather than later, ok?

I don;t have any experience with ascites Tetrax, and even if you find someone who has, you're going to need to get checked out anyway.
Do it and put the unknowing worry behind you.

Let us know that you have been seen - don't mess around with your life, go and see a Doc and then take it from there.

Thanks everyone for your concern; I'll probably go next week but reading around symptoms and weighing myself I think it's just fat. I've worked out I put on 3lb a week for 4 weeks with zero exercise (usually I run). And although not having consumed huge amounts of foodstuffs there was obviously a massive calorie surplus with 10-15 drinks per day, so it does kinda make sense. I'm just so used to being slim, obsessively so, and it's something of a shock to see.
