Please Stay On The Sober Bus Pt 53
On the bus! Back to work today. /end holiday mode.
Mags the old VW's are horrible to drive lol. The new ones like the Krafter and the Transporter are pretty fun to drive. I have seriously considered buying a VW Caddy van and kitting it out as a small camper but I'll probably buy one already fitted out when I'm ready.

You'll haveta take us all for a ride when you do buy it patcha.
Good question about the batteries, I wonder if they make a different one for northern climes as opposed to warmer places. Our cars are always plugged in with block heaters to keep the oil warm and I added a trickle charger to keep my battery topped up.
Happy one year Introvrtd.

I've never driven a VW van. Hm. They look like they would take some definite adjustment.
Mags, no need for you to drive, you'd definitely have a comfy seat and let the chauffeur take care of that. I have to say though...I doubt even a back seat in a VW van is all that luxurious.
On the bus. It's a lot warmer here than it has been. Thank you baby Jesus.

VW buses were not very comfortable to ride in. My mother still has a '72 bug and it is not the epitome of luxury.
Thanks for the reminder Bim! It was been a long while with the VW theme rolling here. How is your weather?
Came down with the 'Vid finally, but doing better than my kids. Seems more cold like than anything fearful. Fortunate to have gotten my booster months ago.
Have a good day all!

Sending positive vibes your way Alpine and stargazer.
Yes, old VW's can be a tad agricultural to drive.
I don't suppose too many people know the Swiss once built a few cars but in the 1960s and 70s Peter Monteverdi did just that. Here is a Monteverdi 375S/4 from 1972 that once belonged to the Swiss Presidential office. It's imposing and well proportioned for a big limo. Fabulously expensive at the time.
