Happy Valentine's Day buscateers!

I posted this in the Weekenders thread this afternoon but I thought you might like a peek at the sleepy little village where I live. I am not great with heights so I was trying not to sound anxious

Oohhh Sao, what a lovely British accent you have!
To my ears, it sounds like John Lennon from the Beatles!
Thanks for this London tour!

That's quite a view! Loved the voice of the narrator too. I'm on the bus, with Billie.

On the Soberbus

Saou, I didn’t have the sound on until Koala commented on your voice! Love your commentary. Nerves of steel!

A nice relaxing ride would be nice today, maybe taking in a warm beach and a visit to see the animals. Where’s the place where horses run wild, I’ve never been there. Somewhere in England. You have to take care when you drive for any four legged beauties wandering onto the road.

Wow, cool to hear your voice Saou, Thanks for the tour.

At home today, taking dear daughter to an appointment. Was suppose to take dear son to the hospital for a procedure today also (Scope) but that got pushed. I'm not surprised, the medical system has a huge backlog.

On the bus!

Sao, very cool and thanks for sharing. The funny thing for me with heights is I hate them if I am in a building or bridge and yet I spent many years rock and ice climbing and had no fear at all even if I was a couple thousand feet up. Go figure.

I am on the bus with Riley sticking his head out the window while wagging his tail. Maybe I should get him some goggles.

Sao, The Shard is an odd juxtaposition to the general feel of London architecture. (Says me from weirdly odd Seattle.) Thanks for the little video. I heard the music but don't know what it was....Venus?

On the bus.

Great video Sao! I loved hearing your voice. Pretty much what I expected. It's funny, when I read all the comments from our long timers, I read them in my mind with a "character" voice for each of us.

Haven't heard Joy Division in a little while.

It's gone from 62F Saturday, to snow all day Sunday, to 12F currently. Then a warmup later this week.

On the bus, coffee in hand.

Happy riding all!

Gotten myself some nice pork chops for the weekend with some potato gratin. So, looking forward to that and i'm on the bus. sorry about my absence. Had some things to mull over and been doing my exercises and keeping up with school work.
Lovely video Sao, loved it. i thought the london bridge had fallen down though? Unless those songs lied to me .
Are you in one of those outside the building elevators or something? Gotta say, i hate heights myself. i had a huge problem walking down a couple of stairs some years ago in a library when the sides of the stairs were transparent glass. Didn't feel safe. Anyway great video, thanks for posting it.

On the bus!

Thanks guys, Vik88 - that is actually Tower Bridge as opposed to London Bridge. There is a London Bridge (it is the next one upstream from Tower Bridge) it was opened in 1973 and not very interesting to look at. The one before that is now in Lake Havasu in Arizona. It was the one before that that was in the nursery rhythm from back when the River Thames was wider and shallower. This is a 17th Century woodcut. It was over 600 years old and probably crumbling.

A closer look shows these gruesome things which were at the entrances to the Bridge - severed heads on spikes - to deter undesirables.

Thanks saoutchik. It's always nice to get to learn something new. Did you do the video from one of those outside elevators or inside? Really liked the video.
Love those old time woodcuts.
