They have alfalfa in abundance in CA. It is one of the best hays to feed horses too, great protein and full of legumes and everything they need. I have to try eating it raw, getting the greens at a health food store. I would imagine it is really healthy for us too!
V, do you put it on salads or juice it? I'm just curious how you'd fix alfalfa from the garden. Even though we live in a condo we have a big porch full of plants, which I need to water. It's been pretty warm here the past week. I think I'm going to buy some alfalfa plants too. Thank you for the reminder! I used to do a lot of green drinks and stuff, spirulina, etc. but I've kind of gotten away from it. I think alfalfa is a good way to starting back to more greens.
Love the puppy bowl too. I'm going to watch it before the super bowl and in between commercials. Those pups are so deserving and so adorable. (I liked the quilt too, rather clever). Oh yes, they are going to have kitties at half time. Kittens are so super adorable too!
Have a great sober Sunday all!

You can grow it in a jar on the kitchen bench Aly love ~ I do. 5 days from seeds to sprouts.
And I put it in my sandwich wraps.....I throw in a ton of lettuce, chicken or turkey meat (Applegate brand; it is the best quality deli meat), avocado, and alfalfa in layers, and wrap it all up in a Mission Burrito Tortilla.

Wow yes Dragon, the Legend became Dragonfly!
Good work, you fetched that obscure fact on Discogs? (I'm impressed!)
Btw, I see it's -29° in Winnipeg...your car still start at that temperature?

Yep, the car will start, better it's plugged in for a few hours first. Yesterday was suppose to be a PJ day but in the evening I looked out and saw that I forgot to plug the car in, so I had to get dressed. And since I was out there, shovel some snow too.
Happy Valentines day!

I saw the local bald eagles working on their nest yesterday. That's a very good Valentine for me! Last year there was no activity at the nest. They brought in two large sticks while I was standing nearby and the two of them were in the tree together for hours.
