David has 5 months !
I have 5 months sober. It's been up and down recently. I'm sick and don't feel good but I don't have a fever. I'm really tired but no aches and pains. I probably should get a covid test but I have not lost taste or smell. I'm also vaccinenated. Still I'm hopefull I'm not the same person I was 5 months ago.

Congratulations David on 5 months! You’re a miracle! Yeah not a bad idea to get that covid test to rule that out!
I just got my moderna booster shot on Friday! My body ached the next day! No problem! Just took a couple Tylenol and everything fine! Aches only lasted one day! Far better than not getting booster and leaving my immune system less resistant! Kind of sceered 😱 of that new variant omicron that’s quickly spreading!
And don’t let this stop you from following through with your step work! You posted a while ago about step 8! If you’re finished, continue on with step 9 to make amends to clear the wreckage of the past! Then steps 10,11,12! Your chances of maintaining sobriety go way up when you follow through with the steps! I had to go through these steps too to maintain my sobriety!

David, congrats!
Hope you feel better soon.
I think when we work at it, we grow a lot in our sobriety.
I had 14 months in in 2018, and I mistook that time to think I was no longer addicted to alcohol. I now know I’ll never be different from that…..that part will ALWAYS be the same.

Congratulations David, 5 months is fantastic. If getting tested would ease your fears by all means go ahead, there's plenty of testing available. I would say you are definitely not the same person you were 5 months ago, you've come a long way. Make sure to give yourself some credit for all that hard work.
