PJ, sorry you are struggling with depression. This seems to have been going on for quite a while recently, is there anything specific that is troubling you? I hope you have a professional you can speak with. For what it's worth you have been inspirational on SR.

The part about remembering a number while I tried to write it down?
I was practically disabled by the time I quit drinking. Sitting in AA meetings in the first week sober and trying to "talk" at them? I realized I could not put two thoughts together and if I had tried to stay sober alone at home I probably wouldn't have understood that. Really scary.
On the bus. Thank you all for the reminders of why I'll never drink again.

Suze, I had a huge collection of Matchbox vehicles when I was a kid. Would probably be worth a small fortune these days. Along with the boxes of baseball cards I threw out when I left home.

Check out "St Martin's Little Summer", a period of milder weather in early November around the feast day of St Martin, November 11.There's also a "St Luke's Little Summer" around October 18, St Luke's Day.
