Please Stay on the Sober Bus Part 50
3.5 art workshop today working on a piece which is a 'twin' to a chosen existing object. I chose a melted looking clock (Dali). This one represents me. Making a serious, well ordered, in control clock. My older bro, the doctor. It is a mindful experience making/creating- and it gives me pleasure considering all the wasted, destructive years of drinking. So soberly and happily on the bus.
No on the driverless buses. And cars, for that matter. What could go wrong?
Seattle is currently building a mass transit rail system and it's going so quickly! I drove to Seattle a few days ago and it amazed me that trains are running already on a quite long stretch of elevated track. I guess Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, Costco et al found some pocket change.. Oh wait, our taxes went up a lot too. We all win!!
On the bus, with driver please.

On!
Some of our trains in London (the DLR or Docklands Light Railway) are driverless. It's a bit annoying that since Covid they have sectioned off the very front section of the front carriage as a 'staff area.' I always liked to sit there and pretend I was the driver.
Have a grrrreat day!

I think my first arena show was ZZ Top back in 1980. And the band is still on the road, minus one.
Glad you had a good show Purps! Did it bring back a lot of childhood memories? The Monkees were definitely a part of growing up for me.
On the bus, coffee in hand.
Happy riding all!

I wasn't much of a concert goer. I remember being disappointed that I didn't go see AC/DC in the 80's. My friend went, snuck in a tape deck and recorded the show. I did go see David lee Roth when he went solo. He seemed to be having trouble keeping in tune that night.
On the bus. I won't mind driverless cars, Winnipeg's not exactly a metropolis, and flat. Except for the snow, it shouldn't be to hard for an AI to navigate.
