Please Stay on the Sober Bus Part 49
Might need a sober boat today. Tropical storm Ida is expected to bring 2-4 inches of rain here today, but 6-10 inches just a little further north of me.
I don't think they are around anymore, but the large city by me used to have Duck Boats, vehicles that drove on city streets like a bus, then rode into the water and became a boat. I think they had too many accidents and went out of business, but the vehicles would be useful with all the rain.
Cheering you on Jase!
On my sober vehicle, coffee in hand.
Happy riding all!

Nice video, Sao; thanks.
On the PhDBus and loving every minute.

On the bus! Morning Buserinos! I am on day 4 of no sugar or refined carbs. Basically just protein, unsweet full-fat dairy, vegetables, nuts, fruit, coconut and olive oils. I already feel better. Less tired, less achy, less brain fog. I've been watching a lot of youtubes and docos bout sugar and processed food (including alcohol). Quite eye opening. I have a genetic insulin resistance and at the age of 51, I'm finally doing something about treating it. I have tried medication and it did work 10 years ago when I was sober for a good number of years, but now I have fatty liver both from insulin resistance and alcohol. Oops. Anyhoo on the bus with home made kale chips for all!

Well done, Patcha; I have very, very little will power when it comes to sweets so my hat is definitely off to you. Dinner tonight was healthy, though; lots of crunchy veggies; next time a little less rice.

Any bus I'm on is the Sober Bus cause I'm always sober.
I ride the rinky dink little public transit van here and I ride for free due to being "elderly".
I'll take whatever perks I can get.

Good morning wonderful people.
Patcha, I went keto for awhile. I felt pretty good and lost some weight, but it was hard to maintain and eventually slipped back into the ol' sugar routine. I would get flu like feelings when my body transitioned into the ketosis mode, then if I slipped, I'd have to go thru the transition again. I need to follow your example and cut back on the sugar. (I'd like to drop back on the caffeine intake too). I had an ultra sound recently and it found 'indications' of 'slight' fatty liver (their words).
Happy coconut day!
