Today is a for real beech day for the Dragon family. Except my son that is, he prefers the dingy basement over fresh air and sunshine. Dear daughters boy friend took a job in another province and left on the weekend. So she could do with a distraction.

Thank you Mags. I want to do that but for some reason my mother is dead set against it. Sometimes I think she's torturing me!
She's never done it, yet she is convinced they mess everything up. She's not thinking straight these days and it can be mighty frustrating. Good thing I love her so much 
I hope you are feeling better, Mags my dear friend. 
Glad to be on the bus today, up early doing laundry.

Enjoy the beach Dragon. I didn't even know Winnepeg had a beach but I Googled it and see it's on Lake Winnepeg.

Patcha, glad you’re feeling a bit better today love.
Aly, I can understand your mum’s concerns love. To be honest I don’t buy any fresh produce when I have my home deliveries and still go to a local farm shop for fruit and vegetables (they also sell delicious ice cream too.
) But maybe worth a try once for a home delivery or go real early when the shop is empty. That’s what I used to do before home deliveries.

Lovely beaches Dragon, it looks positively Caribbean.
It is forgotten now but in between the two World wars and for a few years after there was a beach in London made from dredged sand from the Estuary but it closed in the end because the water was so unhealthy.
