92 months yesterday

I was out in the mountains of east TN not thinking a bit about drinking. Reminised today when I got back home how I used to be outdoors doing things and cutting them short due to anxiety about making it by the bar on the way home before it's too late, then stop at the store before home to pick up more alcohol. So did I really enjoy anything outdoors on the weekends during my drinking days? Not at all, it was pure misery. I'm so glad I'm off of the drink and can really live life as it's supposed to be lived.

Great post, tnman! I know exactly what you mean. It was such a hard job, maintaining our drinking life. I thought it would be so difficult to give it up - that I'd be missing out on all the "fun". I didn't understand that I'd be setting myself free.
Congratulations on your 92 sober months!

Cool. I think about that too, the trying to plan in the drinking -- what a pain. Congrats.

Congrats on 92 months. That's awesome. Such an inspiring post. Yes , I see at 17 months how life gets real after being sober.
