You have to be in the hippie beach nomad mind-frame when viewing VW van images. Plus I have one of those hula girls on the dash of my car. Mine's not that big, but they all look the same.

On the bus.
I've personally have had some side effects with this first shot that has increased over the last 24 hrs. Every Body is different.
My arm has gotten increasingly sore to the point of not wanting anything to touch it. I was up at 1am in pain and my entire arm felt compromised. The headache was there for most of the day yesterday. I thought I had cleared it up but for most of my working day I was a bit off. I did feel like I was hungover. Went to bed very early.

I am hopeful that round 2 is not worse. Half way there...... Half way there!

You have legit reason to call in sick, Mizz.

I think the first 24 hours is supposed to be the peak of it.

((hug))

I hope you feel better by tonight. It's still the right thing to do.

I do agree it is the right thing to do, BB.
On a different note, Ive turned into a conventional drug taker these days. I dont even know who this person is? Claritin, OTC pain relievers, Benadryl..... LOL! Im on a roll. Allergy season should be done soon and I can discontinue two of the drugs......haha! What a wild 2021!

Congrats on five months, Mizz!!!!

My father has me really upset and confused. This week, being in his 80's, he is eligible for the vaccine but is refusing to take it until my sister has had her shot. My sister is is in very poor condition medically, and he thinks that by skipping his shot, she will get hers sooner. They are both in different health authorities so one has nothing to do with the other. But he is stubbornly refusing to change is mind. He will take it he says but not until later. Arrgh!

That does sound frustrating for sure. When people have their minds set on stuff it is very hard to get them to change what they think. Is your sister eligible now?

Congrats on five months Mizz!
Dragon - sorry about your father. Any chance sis could call him and explain/cajole?

On the bus, Mrs is away for the day and has a Dulcimer Zoom thing this evening.Ahhhhhh, peace. More coffee soon. Ruthie and I will be outside a lot over the next few days - 46°F today, 52°F tomorrow, and a glorious 63°F Thursday. It's going to be above freezing till 5 am Saturday morning. Bring it on. I got to get my monkey diving stuff ready.

Saw bluebirds this morning. My orchid order should come today. Virus testing before they join the others. All in all a very positive day on the bus.

Maybe your sister could tell a white lie and say she's had her first jab Dragon.

I tend to get on the bus a bit late for coffee as I do not drink it after mid morning but I really do enjoy my morning mugfuls. I drink mine with oatmilk but no sugar, how do you take your coffee buscateers? - I feel the urge to do a coffee census.

On the Soberbus

Bim I love the hula girl!

Mizz congratulations on 5 months. and having the vaccine. I had a sore arm that I couldn’t sleep on that arm, it took around 4 days to settle but I was mindful it’s doing it’s work.

Dragon, hopefully your sister will get her jab soon so your dad will have his.

Saou, I have either black or white coffee, filtered or instant, unless I meet friends for coffee (I’ve got a good memory it was so long ago) then I usually have a Mocha.

Coffee, please. One cup French Press, four ounces heated 1% milk, a tablespoon of my homemade chocolate syrup, a sprinkle of cinnamon.

On the bus. Day four of good sleep. SSSssshh. I don't want to jinx it.

Well, it's just eight ounces of water, a quarter cup of sugar, and cocoa powder heated on the stovetop for a couple minutes till it dissolves. No additives, I use it in a week and make more.

The orangutans thank me for not buying palm oil...plus it's waaaaaay cheaper and tastes better (especially the Giaredelli's) and there's no plastic container to throw away.
