Amen to that, Purps. ON the bus.

Hangover-free life is the best. I may have twenty problems today but being sick because I poured alcohol in my own mouth won't be one of them.

House painters are rip-offs. My neighbor had the interior of her 500 sq ft condo painted and they charged her $5,000. Ridiculous. I would have done it for $3,000. It was worth about $1,500.

Good Monday morning to all.
Had a productive day yesterday. Got seeds, soils and lamps to start my "grow-op" (Dad loves that word). Can't find T8 plant lights anywhere in my area tho! the other gardeners beat me to it. I was lucky on the lamps tho, paid $28 each at a small hardware store where the big box store across the street was charging $50+ each.

Mrs. Dragon want's a big ol' sunflower plant right in the center of the garden this year.

Got the cabinet carcass built, I'll be priming it today. I could not find the mounting hardware I wanted (see pic) so I picked up a plate of 16 gauge steel and made my own. I love that I can do this!

Have a great day!

MIA- I know! I went to a different hardware store yesterday to buy an exterior door. The man at the paint center there had a business for years painting houses. He told me that if he were in business now he would charge $5000.00 max. So, my plans were derailed in a sense. I really wasn't looking forward to spending my PTO painting the exterior of my home but we don't always get what we want. I'm starting to think I am in the wrong business

On the bus. Sober. Mild headache.
Received my first dose of the vaccine yesterday. I had some anxiety regarding the vaccine. I've been waiting for this vaccine and then once it was in front of me I became fearful. Talked with a few close friends about my fears regarding the side effects and whatever else I was fearful of. I decided it was perfectly acceptable to be afraid but I was not going to let fear stop me.
Got the shot. My trapezius muscle felt it big time. That was strange considering they gave it to me in my arm.
Moving forward.

5 months today! YAY!

HUGE congrats on that five months, Mizz. I know how hard you fought in those first days. Well done.

Also congrats on pushing through the fear on the vaccine. It's the right thing to do. I know younger people have more of an adverse reaction. I had a slight headache, sore arm and I had to inexplicably (or not so inexplicably) take a nap the next day. My second dose is (hopefully) next week.

For Mizz

Da family. Mom, Dad and the kids in the playpen.

They were just a gleam in their parents' eyes five months ago. In two weeks they'll be nearly fully grown and definitely starting to test those wings.

Glad you daughter had a great day sunpen

Congratulations on 5 months Mizz, and on getting the 1st dose of vaccine. I had my 1st one a couple of weeks ago. I have heard a few people say it is the second jab that can cause side effects but it is only hearsay, I shall be eager to have my 2nd jab.

Nice work Dragon!

Happy birthday Dragon and to your daughter Sunpen!

On the bus, late start. Spent time with Ruthless instead of hitting the computer. Virtual SMART meeting at 6 pm.

I'll take side effects over ventilators and hospital life.

On the bus, day three waking without anxiety. Only took me all my life to figure out it was my breathing. I'm a little slow.

It's going to be sunny and beautiful and for the first time in a year I feel hopeful.

Yellow is how I feel. With shades.
