I'm glad you are back. I too have pulled way back from the forum. I don't even know why....so you are ahead of me in your self understanding.

Thank you everyone - and I did indeed find a job shortly after being laid off from my old one, so I'm thankful for that and thank you for your concern. I had worked for my previous employer for 20 years and about 40 of us were laid off permanently because of budget/covid related cost measures, so i did have a couple of month's notice as well. But it's hard leaving a place after that long with so many relationships built up of course.
Scott - as one of the pillars of this community, it's good to see you back. I too have suffered the ravages of COVID - without my sobriety I do not know where I would be. You're one of the people to thank for that. I'm sorry to hear you have suffered but not surprised you stayed sober. Welcome back.
