Went a bit crazy and relapsed

Title says it all really, messed up and I'm trying to stay sober minute to minute. The cravings are murder but I know they will pass. Had to post because I wanted to tell someone.

This is a good place to come when cravings hit. We've all been there.
Read around and post some more. Join the Class of April 2020 and the 24-hour club. AA meetings have gone on-line--there's one happening soon!

Yup. I really don't know anyone that hasn't relapsed in my drinking world. So, we start again. Any sober time is better than drunk time...

I had been going to see a therapist, AA and gym. The virus has wiped that out. I will take up running or go on my bike. I’m gong to read up on the AV. That’s what gets me in trouble.

Welcome back. I think when you learn to recognize the AV for what it is, you can begin to ignore it and carry on. My AV was always full of negative self-talk and once I would start to tune in, I would end up down the rabbit hole, every time. It was quite amazing to me that I could learn to ignore it.

Welcome back. What are you going to do differently in the future to prevent this from happening again?

The virus has disrupted a lot of routines for sure.

Obviously you need a new routine cos drinking is not a long term tenable choice.
Have you tried AA online meetings yet?
