I'll have to get into all sorts of sauces and marinades for meat too, dijon mustard, mint sauce etc...
Paleo is tougher than keto I think. On keto, you get to have heavy whipping cream and really good cheese.

If I were you I’d go keto first, if dairy’s not a problem it’s a lot more fun.

Yeah I do love cheese, but there are plus and minuses to each diet. On keto, fruit and vegetables are quite limited, but it does seem to use energy better.

I’ve never cut carbs to 20g, but still had success (feeling better, weight and bloating improvement, better mood more energy) cutting to only 50g. With 50g I don’t count calories and the diet has as many vegetables as I want, plus berries.

Sometimes I think it’s better to include more, and see if your result is good enough. Sobriety is a big challenge to contend with in and of itself, even though I’m on a program to curtail starch and sugar, enjoying what you eat in sobriety matters.

Oh yeah definitely. Food should be a massive part of a healthy life, and it helps if you like shopping and cooking and trying new things too! But it's a long term thing for me, I'm not being too strict atm as being sober is the priority. But it's good to work towards retraining yourself towards the ideal. 9 days on keto is mighty impressive to me, as I'm not there yet.
