4 years.

Well....here it is. It's march 1, 12:43am where I live.

It's been 4 years.

A lot of people pray but forget to say thank you. So I'm gonna do that.

Thank you God for giving me the strength to make it through every rough day, sleepless night and for never giving up on me. Thank you God for my mom. I miss her a lot. Thank you God for letting me be there for my family so they could heal. Thank you God for showing me that I was stronger than I ever thought I could be and for one more day. -Amen

Four years ago, I was a hopeless chronic alcoholic with almost no chance of long term sobriety. I was dying and had very little time left and I had one last chance. I'm so glad I decided to hang in. It hasn't been easy, but I've finally found some peace.

Happy Birthday, Bulldog. And good for you for laying a chunk of the thanks for your sobriety before the right door. Sobriety is a choice we make, I believe, and a very difficult one. It's just so much easier when we have Someone to talk to in those early hours when we wake up all sweaty and alone and craving alcohol-oblivion. The AV talks to me, but God listens to me.

Congratulations Bulldog. Your sobriety is hard-fought and won and your gratefulness permeates throughout.

You are an honest, positive force here on SR and we appreciate you, what would this place be without you?

Do something just for yourself today, you’ve earned it.

So pleased for you, BullDog, for achieving 4 years. You've been tenacious like a canine Bulldog, and it worked. May God (and I hope there is one) bless you and your family.

Thanks for the kind words today, it means a lot to me.

I went out with my family and stuffed my pie hole with some crazy hot chicken wings and my wife made me some peanut butter bars for dessert.

Those never last long in my home.

I'm gonna ride out to my Dad's tomorrow and have lunch with him.
He loves books, but can't really read them anymore because of the tremor so I'm getting him an unlimited membership to amazon's audiobook site. He ought to enjoy that.

Back to work for me. I have a lot to catch up on.

Thanks again for the kindness.
