Breathing in early recovery

I’ve suddenly noticed that my breathing is better since quitting, has anyone else noticed this? Didn’t think alcohol would affect my breathing.

alcohol was used as an anesthetic before surgery......it changes the entire body!

Oh yes, I have medicated asthma since childhood, and it definitely improved when I stopped drinking and consequently, my medication was reduced.

For me.no. my breathing has got progressively worse since I "quit" in December. I've only drank twice since then but can hardly breath
