Hey gang! Today is three years without polluting myself by drinking alcohol. There was a a time when I couldn't make it till 5 o'clock without a drink, and now here I am at 3 three years.

I thank God every single day.

I'm also infinitely grateful to SR and the members here who helped me when I needed the help. I couldn't have done it without this place.

Life's good.

Hi AAPJ, I quit using SR and AVRT. I'd been "trying" for a long time before it finally stuck, and I'd been to AA, WFS, out patient rehab, read every book I could find on it, been a member here on SR for many years, had a few trial run Big Plans using AVRT.... I'm sure most people on here understand exactly what I'm talking about, just years of it.

Then three years ago today I came back to SR after being "out" drinking for a long time, and I was hating myself, and just so tired of it. I was ruining everything, just destroying my beautiful family, and myself, and at the time I wouldn't have said it, but today I think God put an angel in my path, in the form of Algorithm, he's gone now, but he was around because he was hurt bad from an accident by a drunk driver, and he used his time convalescing to reach out to strangers on here, and I was one of them, and I was finally able to make it stick, and I know for sure that I am going to my grave a non drinker. I'm getting so sentimental lately that now I've gone and made myself cry! SR is a beautiful place.
