Please stay on the Sober bus - pt.32
I'm on.
Hold the bus! I remember the Banana Splits, we got them a couple of years after they went out in the US. They would show one episode every day on weekday mornings during the school summer holidays.
Yeah, I have been laid low by a cold or flu too.
Maybe the bus could go to the original 6 Flags Theme Park in Texas if it's still there. It is where the opening credits for the Banana Splits were filmed.

Oh yeah I think everyone that works there is family....if you volunteer it would be more like in landscaping or helping direct traffic/parking, so you wouldn't get to interact with the animals. I'd love to, though!
I signed up for a yoga class called "Yoga with Tigers" a few months ago which was out in one of the walkways, so we were surrounded by the animals.....it was so cool....actually the ticket I bought for that included a free one-day pass, so that's what I used today. I'd love to sign up for another one!

Oh wow, thank you so much guys! The cartoon and the penguin are awesome CK, you are really talented.
It's feels weird because when you start out you just can't picture being sober for two months let alone five years. I'm so glad to have found the Sober Bus to help me on my journey.
Excellent photos Purps.

Congrats Sao.
NYE - morn, here. I feel the crap memories and emotions associated with an adult lifetime of very damaging behavior welling up. I have the opportunity to do sober stuff with friends, but will make a rational choice, based on how the feelings go. In the last few years I have done many activities I did not enjoy, or like- 'because I have to get out of my comfort zone'. I no longer feel obliged to do this- perhaps because most things I do are outside my comfort zone, or I just plain do not HAVE to force new experiences on myself- on the basis that isolation will lead to complacency and relapse.
Either way, I am VERY grateful to be alive, even on my worsest (est) days, NYE will be safe and sober....see you all next year. Next decade.
