I didn't drink today.
I didn't drink today.
Well, I didn't drink yesterday and it's after midnight so I've officially been sober for eleven years.
I couldn't have done it without finding a power greater than myself, AA and this place.
I was a low bottom drunk. It took me ten years of trying to make it this far.
So just remember, no matter how low you feel you've sunk. No matter if it takes a few, or many, tries at sobriety it can be done.
Just don't stop trying. Never stop trying.
I, throughout those ten years, never quit trying.
Do what you need to do. Whatever that is.
Best to you all. And thank you on these forums for being here.

I love the sentiment.
Whatever it takes, how long it takes, how many "do-overs" it takes.
I notice lately a diminishing amount of patience by folks for others who have had a few do-overs, even those who have had a fair number themselves.
Makes me sad, we are here to support each other whatever it takes. We can do tough love, love-love, but walking away is not cool to my way of thinking.
Thanks!!

It got me this far. One day at a time...
