Well, here we are, six years and four months in to no drinking. It's been rough at times but really only the first year or so. I can't remember the last time I had a physical craving and I only had one faint, what I call phychological cravings. I had so much misery and heartache during my drinking years, my health began to deterioriate in the end and my marriage would most likely have ended. I have been married 30 years and I couldn't fathom losing that. So if you read this and is in the beginning stages of sobritey. Keep working on it and do not give up. You have no idea how much you will gain from not picking up that drink ever again, not to mention all the money you save.
