Please stay on the Sober bus - pt.28
Today is Slash's birthday
A few years back, one of his fan pages started a collection for a bday present....everyone who contributed got to leave a personal message for him, and she was able to give it to him in person....couple days later I received this dm on Twitter

So, I am regrettably not here much. . . .
There is still much to worry about in my life, both from a health perspective and a family perspective. My husband and I are doing the most and the best we can to help our child and grandchildren maneuver through an intolerable situation. Despite the ‘best we can and the most we can’, the worry and stress is ever-present. Due to health issues, my coping techniques are limited to deep breathing and meditation, both of which are very helpful. When the weather cools and calms down, I will be able to get back to gentle kayaking which I find so soothing.
The spot on my eye has changed, although just a tiny, tiny bit and the change in color saturation and density may be due to the ophthalmologist’s brand new, state of the art instrumentation - here’s hoping (and deep breathing ). Frequent follow-ups continue.
On the good news front, for the first time in almost 20 years, I had an all-clear assessment this week from the dermatologist - nothing to scrape, scoop or burn - Yay x 1,000. I have been taking Niacinamide tablets for about four months after reading the results of an Australian study on the benefits of same on inhibiting cellular changes in the skin. So maybe . . . .
Status quo news (which is, for me, good news) on the pulmonary front. Treatment for LPR, which is known to have a negative impact on the lungs, has been helpful from an asthma standpoint, also. Recent PFT has shown no further deterioration of lung function. Yayx1,000,000.
Riding along with you very fine ones!
A sweet Summer treat for the ride - a slice, a plate and a fork for each.

It's great to see you still posting Leigh even if it is not as much as we all might like . I'm so glad you got good news from the dermatologist and I send my very best wishes to both you and your family. The bus is even better when you're on board.
Very good news about your eye dear Leigh, but awful to hear that something is wrong that is so distressing for you and your child and grandchildren. s
I hope whatever treatment you get for your breathing works love!! So many prayers. xx

Leigh, I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles. You are and will be in my prayers every day. You have such a wonderfully upbeat attitude, which is like you my dear, dear Leigh. Love and peace to you. ♥♥♥
Purps, I love that little donkey! When I had horses, I rescued a few off the track who were in bad shape and about to be put down, but I had some gorgeous horses that I rode and showed, but most of them were problem children that trainers, etc. didn't want to put the time in and were abused too. A lot of animals are so misunderstood. But I always thought that if I ever got my property, I'd love to take in some rescue donkeys. They're so cute, but I guess you'd have to get used to them braying and have a lot of room between neighbors! , Lol! I loved the post.
I'm on the bus now, after finishing more laundry! I'll take some coffee too, I'm kind of sleepy. I've really cut back on my caffeine because it can cause anxiety for me, but I love it and when I'm as snoozy feeling as this, I love to be able to drink it, iced today, I think
Have a great day all of you wonderful guys and gals! ♥♥♥
