Heck even at my worst here was always a small part of me that knew I was better than this.

Nah, it's not who you are, comrade.
No more than being sober is who you are.
You are greater than any one aspect of your life. Like I have issues with the term "alcoholic". I have a problem when I drink, but I'm bigger than that, so I won't use a label that defines me.
But getting back to that vodka thing, that **** can kill you, dude.
If you're anything like me with my history of ending up in emergency departments, you'll know this. You'll also know that if you have gone and bought that vodka, the idea of throwing it away isn't easy. But you know it's the right thing to do.

Yea, and I want to max out my credit cards, eat cupcakes until I vomit. But TODAY I won't do those things. I also won't take a drink. Just today. Tomorrow I can do all those things but not today.
