You guys are great. Lady is still eating mushy food for the next several days. Her mom is doing ok. Truth be told, gang, I had a food slip Wednesday. Paid for it dearly. Now on Day Two, licking my wounds, learning from my mistake and going forward with head held high.

I'm on a no dairy diet for six weeks to see if it reduces my arthritis pain so no ice cream for now. Since i'm not very confident it will do any good I expect to be eating ice cream again by mid July.

I set up an online profile for a pet sitting/house sitting service, and it got approved! So hopefully I'll hear from someone if they are interested + around the same location as I am....fingers crossed!

Congrats, Purps! That sounds really great. I wouldn't mind doing that sometimes too.
It went well today. We got a tour, but I guess to make sure that you'll stick around, they start you in the laundry and you have to do some time at their thrift store. Neither of those things bother me. I don't really want to tell them about my back, because you need to be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Not sure I could do it with my back issues. I used to carry or manage to get into the barn, and I used a wheel barrow to put like 100 lbs into a feed container. We'll see. I would really like to volunteer there with the dogs as some point.
