I no longer follow it Alysheba but have always thought basketball should be promoted more in the UK especially in London with its multicultural population. We used to have the London Towers who were pretty good but there was no TV coverage and so they folded sometime in the early 2000s.
Thanks ChloeRose - over 3 years, how time flies.
I believe the Queen has spent the weekend watching a horseracing event. She is probably old enough to remember the days of mounted calvary charges and jousting tournaments.

Maybe the Queen is at Ascot? I don't know if I have that correctly, but I know the big racing there goes on for a while, I think. I've seen part of that big racing meet on TV.
I know the Belmont Stakes are on next weekend here in the states. My dad used to go to the track sometimes when I was growing up and he watched the races on TV, so I have been watching the Triple Crown, esp the Kentucky Derby, and going to the track since I was a kid. I haven't missed one yet!
All the best to everyone.♥ Get me on the subject of horse, I will tend to go on a bit. When I started riding, I drove my parents crazy, because it was all I talked about. So, I'd better stop...

I would be too Aly! I've been horseback riding only once before....a few years back my friends and I went and the horse I rode was not in the mood. "Spatz" was his name.... First my two friends were in the front, which was great because I had no clue what to do and I think Spatz knew it.....the people said "just follow the marked trees" so we were on the trail and Spatz kept lagging slower & slower until I couldn't see my friends anymore....then he took a short cut off the regular trail and I started to panic a little, thinking we were lost....suddenly we were the ones in front.....the other two followed and we ended up back at the barn.....afterwards we looked at the map and we should've been on the trail for much longer....the "shortcut" we took cut the trip in half....Spatz knew what he was doing! We laughed for the longest time about that
Purps, sorry, but I'm Lol. I think I rode at one of those kind of places once or twice. The horses know how to get back to the barn with their food and other horses! I loved them so much and I really miss my German Warmblood, imported from the Holstein Region. She was huge, but she had enough Thoroughbred in her to be beautiful AND crazy. She was a handful. she wouldn't go on the trails, too scared, only the arena. She was with a really abusive trainer before I got her. So, I trained her myself. I got her at 3 coming 4 and had her until she was 14, when I had to put her down. She broke her leg. So sad. She loved me so much and I her! ♥♥♥
Winnipeg is not much of a horse town, but we do have our own track, assiniboine downs, I know two (former) race horse owners. My parents had a horse, bought him as a colt, hired a trainer and boarded him at a farm just outside the city. I was a teen ager then. He bucked Dad off once, but never had a problem with me.
Dragon/Purps, love the Sober Bus video! Dragon, I'm so glad you had a good experience with your horse. I obviously love them and have had some great horses that I loved, but most of them did have kind of difficult natures.
I am ready to ride this morning.
Have a wonderful day all!
