Wow six months sober now

Well I'm very happy to say that I'm now six months sober, and the great part is that I have now desire to ever go back. No cravings nothing. I do have the occasional thought but it's really like whatever to me, it quickly just fades away and I soon start thinking about all the bad things that came from drinking, so therefore I still don't worry at all about relapsing and that's a great sign. I really feel like I'm gonna do it this time 🙂

Six months is great!
That was a big one for me. I realized, like you, I never had to drink again.
Best to you and congratulations.

I’m so happy you got out in time!! I was worried about you during your brief relapse. We all know how hard it is to pull yourself out of the drowning phase....I’m so happy for you, well done.

Yeah I guess reaching my personal rock bottom for me really made a difference, and going to rehab helped immensely, that I do know 🙂

That <Wow> is part of the 6th month rush, and expresses elation while at the same time being dumbfounded. Never thought you could do it, right? Well, will mysteries never cease! You're in control now and can guide yourself on to the 1 year "Wow!" It's even better.

See you there.

Would you share when it started not to consume your thoughts 24/7? I know it's different for everyone...
