It's that time of the year when everything seems to get turned upside down, yet it's supposed to be a time of family, fun, thankfulness and celebration.
I'm thankful for each and every person here on SR, past - current - future that has helped me become the person I am today. I'm thankful that I can serve others here as well.
I'll be coming up on 6 years sober in just a couple of weeks and while that seems like a long time, I can vividly remember the day I came here for the first time. How scared I was but how kind and welcoming everyone was too. And then how welcoming you were again after I went back to drinking for a bit and came back with my tail between my legs once again.
So thank you, all of you, from the bottom of my heart - SR and the people who are part of it literally helped saved my life. Certainly I had to do a lot of work myself, but I could not have done it alone. And for that I will be forever grateful.

Congrats Scott and thanks right back at ya kiddo! You guys and gals are absolute diamonds and a great inspiration, I learn a lot from you and the way you handle yourselves. You especially teach me about compassion and patience with the way you handle yourself and I feel very lucky to have you in my online life!

I would also like to thank you for your kind and encouraging words to those who are struggling, I was one of them, and am now fully committed to my sobriety. It is because of members like you that us newbies can find the strength to break free from our addictions.

I feel the same gratitude for SR and for you, Scott. The wisdom, patience, and sense of calm you offer to others is so appreciated. I’m at 18+ months and still learn from you every day.
I could never have done it without what I have learned on SR, and hope someday I can give back as you have, in some way.
