Starcco,

How are you doing buddy? You went to the Er so didn't he give you something for the anxiety?

Re sleeping. Meditation helps me. Also Don't eat a couple of hours before bed. Practice equanimity. Don't react. If you're not sleeping, just rest is good. Like all things the anxiety will pass.

Why not? I find eating a large late dinner a few hours before bed makes me sleepy and I don't have to stay up and think about drinking as much and I will wake up earlier and have more willpower because it is morning.

Because for many people eating a large meal before bed has the opposite effect.

Doing better, slept good last night. It's just the anxiety still, and I tried exercising yesterday and got winded earlier than I normally do. My body is still not 100%. Outside the anxiety, my mind is getting less foggy, my attitude and outlook is becoming more positive.

I got my full appetite back and have been eating better. Had a big dinner last night, probably too heavy. Trying not to stress out my liver and digestive system.

Sounds like things are looking up starcco, glad to hear it. The longer you stay sober the better it will get as related to the WD anxiety. I had a lot of GI issues myself when I quit drinking and it took me quite a while for them to settle down, but they did eventually too.

Oh, and I stopped reading Google. Google has been my enemy over the last week.

Thanks again everyone.

That's HUGE. I am diagnosed with GAD and Health Anxiety and I can't tell you how many things I convinced myself I had because of Dr. Google.

Stay away from Dr. Google, he has a way of messing with your head!
