5 Months Sober Thursday
 

It took several relapses but I finally made sobriety stick. Thursday will be five months. Honestly after detox it really hasn't been that hard to do. I wish I had done this 30 years ago. Damn all the time and money I can't get back but drinking won't bring it back.

Congrats laqbrador - 5 months is fantastic! Don't worry so much about what was lost as what you still have, and what you can become.

I drank 30 yrs. - it was hard not to be regretful - but as Scott said, no point in worrying about what's been lost. We have today - and we are free.
