Yes. One lady I know with 15 years of sobriety brings her teenage daughter to open meetings. She feels like part of the 'family ' and says she's learned a lot of life skills through it. Not so many teens do gratitude as a life tool, but she's got it off pat. Lol.
At the start I stuck to closed meetings out of fear. The longer I stay sober the less fearful I am about it.

if thats the case, how awesome!! youre going somewhere to get help and might just run into someone ya know that found the solution in AA or is working on the solution in AA.

Google your zip code and Alcoholics Anonymous. If you run into someone you know that's great. Maybe your next sponsor? Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of AA, so don't worry about gossip. We all take this seriously.
