Vivitrol
Does anyone have any notable experiences with Vivitrol (naltrexone)?
I started taking 50mg a couple of days ago, and my first dose made me void of every emotion, as if all I knew how to feel was existence itself, as weird as that sounds, lol. With the next few doses, I've felt more normal, but I've noticed my face is slightly numb. I must say that Vivitrol has stopped my drinking dreams, and I don't sit and obsess over the possibility of finding alcohol somewhere. It's been a lifesaver since I'm still in early recovery.
Has anyone else experienced the same effects? Wilder ones? No effects at all?

I started taking 50mg of naltrexone last week - July 18 to be exact. My sobriety date is July 9 and by the time I was prescribed the naltrexone, my cravings were already much weaker. I attribute that to attending AA daily.
I thought that maybe the naltrexone disrupted my sleep the first night I took it, but the next night I took the 50mg and slept normally. I forgot to take it Friday night with no ill effects, no cravings the next day. So far, I have not noticed any side effects. I see my psychiatrist this Thursday for a followup.
