Does anyone here take Sunflower Lecithin?

I know Dr Abram Hoffer and Prof Roger J. Williams suggested a vitamin protocol for alcoholics and recovering alcoholics, including L-glutamine etc, which I know people have found really useful.

As part of it, they suggested 2-5 tablespoons of Lecithin granules per day. I won't take Soy Lecithin, so I have bought sunflower Lecithin instead, but that only comes in capsules. The trouble is, I don't know how much to take.

Apparently, each tablespoon (7.5 grams) of lecithin granules contains about 1700mg of phosphatidylcholine.

I have NOW brand sunflower lecithin capsules, which is 2.4 grams per serving, but only containing 420mg phosphatidylcholine per serving.

I don't know whether to go by the lecithin or the phosphatidylcholine. I'm guessing that it would be the phosphatidylcholine. But then I'd be taking a dozen capsules 2-5 times a day!

Anyone else on sunflower lecithin and worked this out? I know I find it beneficial, but I'm just not sure how much I should be taking.

Thanks.

OK sorry Scott, I thought it was more a mathematical question than anything. I thought I must have got something wrong in my calculations.

I did speak to my specialist on Monday (I have other conditions)and he's fine with me taking the supplements I am. I just forgot to ask about relative dosage and I'm not sure he'd know anyway!

I'll see if I can find out elsewhere. Sorry again.
