Very interesting. Giving alcoholics whiskey might not be considered ethical in the 21st century so it is handy to be able to access old research. Blacking out is extremely dangerous no matter who does it.

I read the article and it was interesting.

Seems I was a blackout drinker from very early on in my drinking. Lots of alcohol problems in my mother and father. Not surprisingly, me too!

Great article, Soberwolf! Thanks. One blackout was enough for me. Happened 18 months before I quit and was scary. The total gap in memory ... just a blank spot in my mind I can never access no matter how hard I try ... it shakes a person to the bone because it is a loss so personal and fundamental. What did I say, what did I do, what did I experience ... ? Somehow gone, lost forever.
