Please stay on the Sober bus - pt.19
Christ's Statue of THe Abyss original in indeed in Portofino! This is the third cast of the statue and located near Key Largo, close to John Pennekamp Coral Reef , State park. I think it is part of the Dry Rocks reef.
I LOVE Dolphins. I swam with them at the Dolphin Research center for my 40th birthday. That cake is simply amazing. I really will retire in Marathon, FL . I vacation there every other year approximately. Hubs and I are waiting until our son is through college. Daughter starts college this year, son is a high school Junior. We are 6 years away.

when I was a kid, I loved watching shows like The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau. We have a friend who lives on Turks and Caicos and would post pictures of her almost daily diving adventures. So nice to look at undersea scapes.....
Yes. Jacques Cousteau. And “Flipper!”🐬
Howdy all! Hope everybody is doing well and staying sober. I have been ridiculously busy with little league and work stuff, I miss not being able to post everyday.
Have a great week my friends.

Morning all, forgot to set my alarm last night. That happens less frequently these days, but it still happens. The smell of CK's coffee woke me up!
Sober bus is rolling thru your neighbourhood, don't miss the bus!
Off to the Florida Keys today. Where shall we go first?

Posting every day or once a week as long as we're sober, no problem! Glad to see everybody here.
LJ, how adventurous of you (diving!). About having 6 yrs to retiring in Marathon, FL--it's great to have goals and a bucket list. I used to spend time in Port Richey, FL or is it New Port Richey? My first pair of in-laws lived there when I was stationed in southern Georgia. Not loo long a drive for a weekend visit.

Allow me to be our culinary guide! I have vacationed there many times and rarely dine at home while we are there. The food is awesome...I don't really like seafood except when I am in the KEYS!
For breakfast, let's go to the Stuffed Pig. If the name alone does not convince you, click here. Despite the name, it is vegetarian friendly too! The pig you stuff is yourself. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura...s_Florida.html

Let's drive across the 7 mile bridge. We can burn off that stuffed pig feeling with a jog/cycle or walk when we park on the other side. The old bridge is for exercising and fishing. Enjoy the ocean breeze and views of the Gulf of Mexico and The Atlantic. I love this bridge. Next we can go hunt for the elusive Key Deer. They are very cute. I know just the spot.
