Is all this real?
Yes. It's real. But people aren't gonna chase any of us up. Pretty much like AA in that regard. It's important that we reach out when we need help, and that is really hard, esp as many of us have become very used to trying to cover everything up, and hide any fears, or what we feel may be perceived as weaknesses or flaws.
I use this place, and face to face AA meetings. I only go to 2 or 3 AA meetings most weeks. Without this forum no doubt I'd need more.

There are quite a few people I've wondered about, just wasn't sure about calling them out. I think out of all the people who supported me in the first day of my quit, only about half are still here. People flow in and out, usually because of drinking, but not always.
I was a chronic relapser on WQD for years and years, and the tide would certainly change with groups flowing in and out, with maybe a handful of hardcore regulars.

When I am out of the U.S. I tend to post a lot more.
When I'm in the States I go to meetings more and post less.
