Part of it may be too that while you were in active addiction, you may not have been eating properly or nutrients were being depleted so your craving for sugar could be your body telling you it is lacking in nutrients / trying to repair itself.

If you are really worried you could of course consult a doctor, but there isn't anything wrong with indulging in something sweet.

Sugar is bad, the body cant process it correctly. Obviously theres no way around it , sugar comes in many forms.
I was like you , I had this crazy craving for sugar right about the same time as you are having. I think its normal in recovery.
But since your noticing it , now its time to cut it out slowly....
Congrats on your sobriety, its awesome isnt it!!!!

Yes, I am trying to educate myself on a healthy diet. When I got sober my eating went to junk. Sobriety is sooooo awesome!
