There is lot of stuff that I do to keep myself occuppied, for example spend time with my kids, work around the house, go to the gym etc.
It's just today there's something about it and well it is Easter weekend so there is also that vibe going on.
I guess my mind is telling me again that one beer or two should be ok for tonight, like trying to convince me to try and moderate. It's crazy.
Thanks Dee I will take a look at that link

I know the feeling I relapsed after seven months sober once because I was doing laundry and a beer or two sounded like a good idea. It wasn't and I stayed drunk for the next two years.
I would just think of the regret and anxiety having a beer or two will bring tomorrow. And if you're any kind of drunk like I was, there's no such thing as a beer or two.
Think it over. What's to gain? What's to lose? does the risk outweigh the benefit.
Best to you, and I know for me, there's nothing a beer is going to make better.

I have also been known to tell myself (at times of intense cravings), that I could postpone my decision for 15 minutes. Surely I could wait 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, that beer would still be there if I wanted it. Sometimes it would take a second 15 minutes (probably even a third at times).
Whatever it takes, you will be glad tomorrow. I doubt you will be able to honestly say that, if you drink today. I know from hard earned experience, it holds true for me.

I had a chronic problem with that all through school.
By the time i had my a couple of loads in the dryer, i was frequently highly drunk and would wake up with a basket of crumpled, but clean, clothes.
