2018: a dry new year
I remembered the HALT skills of recovery: Hungry Angry Lonely Tired....Hunger is my biggest trigger....With concern for overeating and gaining tons of weight...I’ve decided to eat something healthy when the cravings kick in...helps a lot...
Quitting booze and beer always helps me lose a ton of weight, i don’t want to trade one addiction for another and that would be SUGAR!
Geez...

53 days now....something to be so proud of, Introvrtd.
Yes, the sugar thing was a huge issue for me early on. I didn't even eat that much of it before getting sober. The cravings for it settled down after a couple months.

Schedule breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack, and think carefully about what you'll eat at those times. It helped me tremendously.
I also stopped sugar except for very rare and planned occasions. And quit the diet soda. So yeah I really didn't like that extra weight one bit.
