Starting day 3 -- disjointed dreams

Slightly off-topic but curious if anyone has any insight --

Last night was not as bad as on night 1, but still having just non-stop super strange dreams.

And I'm using to having strange dreams but these are weird. Like they're all super short, never more than 5-6 seconds it seems, and the dialogue is all total nonsense, and each one seems to be a totally different subject / topic. On night 1 they all felt really accusatory and would wake me awake constantly. And, unlike other dreams, I feel like I am out of control, like I try to speak and I can't even form my words, I can't respond in a coherent way.

When i was drinking, I was having strange dreams that were really "clever" like, the dialogue was clever, they'd last a while, there was some kind of a "plot", etc. And I could often interact in a coherent way.

Just curious if anyone knows what the story is behind this? I know the restlessness is a common symptom. Can I expect these to ever go back to normal or is the damage done and I can just hope for "more normal"
