A good dinner with a chocolate dessert!
A nap!
Watching the evening news and realizing I don't have it so bad!
Petting and playing with my cat!
Praying extra hard the next morning while in my morning meditation and reading the twenty four hour book!
Calling my wife the next morning while on my way to work and ventilating!
And finally, just being grateful that I'm staying sober through all this!

Good question!

I'm kind a having a tough go right now.

As much as I could use a meeting tonight, I just may go to bed early.

(I have to watch this option as going to bed early might be ok for one night but if it becomes two or three nights in a row, I knock it off and do something for someone else.)

I have been all over the world and I had no idea what Poutine was! It looks Yummy. I actually had to google it! Sad part was I learned it originates in Canada and I have spent time in Canada. You learn something everyday!

yeah...I have the impulse to go to bed a lot also. I think its a bit of depression that starts to settle in, so you are right about paying attention to that.

Talking with my sponsor and/or other program friends
A meeting
A nap
Another workout or a first one if I didn't in the morning
Going to bed early
Time with my husband talking or just watching TV or something normal like that
Looking up the BB part for what's disturbing me
Frozen yogurt for dinner. Or a salad. Or both.

Prayer, through all of it. When it's a not great day, this means more running conversations with God, for me.

Woods bumming! Grab my pack and maybe drop my .38 special in my back pocket and go for a walk in the "back 40." Works every time.

Your description conjures up images which are very nice, indeed.

I start out challenging days the same way I do with the rest of them - with a good bit of prayer and asking God's guidance.

And then talking to people in AA, posting on SR and trying to learn and do God's will.

Doing some spiritual (or religious, in my case) and AA reading also helps quite a bit.

Seeing what i can do for someone else who has greater challenges than me also helps.

Not to sound too much like an SR fan girl but coming to SR gives me a lot of encouragement.

Also, a nice latte!
