Almost 4 years sober
Hi everyone, I can't believe that I am almost 4 years sober. There was a long period of time where I could not come on this site. Just discussing wine made me have terrible withdrawal symptoms. At the time I felt that I just had to go off and deal with the problem alone but knowing that you were all there nevertheless. I can safely say that Not only will I never drink alcohol again but I actually don't want too! When I first discovered this site early in 2014, I was a petrified drunk, full of fear for a future without alcohol. I went into becoming sober kicking and screaming. I was convinced that I would hate every social event that I would ever go to again, as drunk, I was the last to leave the party. Well guess what, 4 years on, I'm sober and still the last one to leave the party! I am so strong now that I am hoping that I can now help others.
